Bishop Cotton Boys’ School hosted an insightful workshop on “Law as a Career Option in India” for the students of Grades 11 and 12. The session was led by Mrs. Anita from Paradygm Law, who enlightened the students on the various pathways one could take to build a career in law. This discussion was particularly significant as it introduced an avenue that many students may not have previously considered.

Mrs. Anita familiarized the students with the structure of the CLAT exam, offering valuable insights on preparation strategies and setting realistic goals to help them achieve their aspirations. Her guidance provided the students with a comprehensive understanding of the examination process.

Additionally, she highlighted the top five National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country, with particular emphasis on the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru. Known for being a pioneer in modern legal education, NLSIU’s legacy and importance were underscored during the session.

Mrs. Anita also shed light on the broad prospects available within the legal profession, which left the students with a newfound appreciation for the field. Many were surprised by the vast opportunities that a legal career offers, often overlooked in favour of more conventional professions.

The workshop concluded at 9:00 a.m., with students leaving the auditorium with a deeper understanding of a career path they might not have otherwise explored. Both staff and students expressed their sincere gratitude to the Principal for organizing this enlightening session.
