ENVISION: A Spectacular Celebration of Science and Technology
On the morning of Wednesday, June 19th, our institution witnessed the second edition of our inter-house science and IT fest, ‘Envision’. This spectacular event catered specifically to the middle and senior school sections and featured twenty intriguing competitions focusing on various aspects of science, technology, and innovation.
The grand opening ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor Santonu Goswami from Azim Premji University as the chief guest, along with our former teacher Mrs. Naveena Roberts, who served as the judge for the debate event. Performances from the senior school band and a choreography piece by the resident scholar's also lit up the stage, making the occasion truly memorable.
Following the opening ceremony, participants dispersed to their event venues where they were greeted by their event heads and teachers in charge, who explained the rules to them. A total of 370 boys from Classes VI to X enthusiastically took part in these fun-filled events, which included quizzes, debates, treasure hunts, gaming and coding challenges, and solving mathematical puzzles, as well as conducting experiments in the biology, physics, and chemistry laboratories.
As this was the first inter-house competition of the academic year, the energy was at an all-time high. We are delighted to report that the second edition of Envision was a grand success for both the students involved and the school as a whole.
The event concluded with Pope House and Thomas House tied for first place, Pakenham Walsh House completing the podium in third, and Pettigrew House and Elphick House finishing in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
