On 3rd July 2024, nearly 50 students from Std IX participated in a walkathon organized by the Government of Karnataka as part of the World Environment Day Celebrations and Vanamahotsava. The event brought together students from approximately 100 schools and colleges.
The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m with the district Collector flagging off the walkathon, which began at Vidhana Soudha and concluded at Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. The students carried placards bearing eco-friendly messages and slogans to raise awareness among their peers and the public.
The students were accompanied by their teachers, Mrs. Elizabeth Angiras, Mrs. Kezi Priscilla Mathew, and Mr. Senthil R.
