Nurturing Young Minds, Unlocking Creative Potential
The students of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School participated in META Schools 2024, an arts and literary fest hosted by St. Joseph’s University on the 24th and 30th of August 2024. This two-day extravaganza offered workshops and contests in creative writing, zine-making, JAM, puzzling, quizzing, and spelling bees. Our students showcased their incredible talents and teamwork, securing top honours in multiple events. Their remarkable performance earned them the coveted Overall Championship Title in the Junior Category.
In individual highlights, Alwin Matthias claimed first place in the Junior Spelling Bee, while Soham Padhi earned a commendable third place in the same category. In the Fandom Menace creative writing event, Thushanthan took first place, with Arya Jackson and Arjun M. Das following closely in second and third, respectively.
The Mujhe Zine Do zine-making contest saw Amogh C.M. and S.K. Jeevaraja achieving second place, with Salaimagambu C. and Divyesh Saraogi sharing third place. Additionally, Kushal N., C.H.M. Rithvik, Adway Singh, Tejash Pathak, and Kishan P. were awarded finalist certificates for their participation in the Spelling Bee competition.
Heartfelt congratulations to the entire team of students for their outstanding achievements. Their success was made possible by the dedicated guidance of the core committee comprising Mrs. Madhuri Nair Sanjeev, Mrs. Elizabeth Angiras, Mrs. Neelika Joel, Mrs. Bindhya Kumar, and Mrs. Shalini Priya, whose mentorship played a pivotal role in this achievement.
