Bishop Cotton Boys’ School Triumphs in the Baldwin Shield Under-14 Division
In a thrilling final at the Baldwin Shield Inter-School Football Tournament, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School emerged victorious in the Under-14 division, securing a narrow but decisive 1-0 win against St. Joseph’s. The team showcased remarkable skill and determination, with each player contributing to this hard-earned victory. The winning goal was scored by Dhan Mohammed. He also lifted the golden boot award.
We were honoured to be in the presence of Mr. Terrence Phelan, a renowned football coach and former professional footballer who represented Ireland in the 84’ World Cup and who has also played for Manchester City and Chelsea, as the Chief Guest. He is currently the technical director of Indian I-League 2nd Division side South United FC and a pundit for Sony Sports Network and Sports18, Mr. Phelan’s presence added immense value to the event. His inspiring words and encouragement motivated our young players to reach for excellence and push their limits on the field.
Special congratulations to Coach Noah for his dedicated leadership and to the entire team for their relentless efforts, which led to this memorable achievement.
