The Bishop Cotton Boys’ School football team put up a spirited and determined performance in their opening group-stage match of the Subroto Cup 2025, hosted by Don Bosco, Kochi.
Up against a strong Maharashtra side, our boys were down by a goal at halftime. Demonstrating remarkable resilience and grit, the team fought back brilliantly to score a well-deserved equalizer in the second half, swinging the momentum in our favour.
Despite dominating possession in the closing minutes, we narrowly missed two clear one-on-one opportunities inside the box that could have secured a victory. The match concluded in a hard-fought 1–1 draw, a testament to the team’s unwavering spirit and skill on the field.
The squad now shifts focus to their next encounter against host team Don Bosco, Kerala, scheduled for 10:30 hrs tomorrow.
We wish our boys continued strength and success under the able guidance of Coach Noah.
