Karnataka Triumphs in CISCE U-17 2024 Final: A Stellar Performance by Bishop Cotton Boys’ School Cricketers

The CISCE Under-17 cricket team displayed remarkable skill and determination as they powered their way through the 2024 championship. The Karnataka team, featuring two talented players from Bishop Cotton Boys’ School (BCBS), showcased their dominance throughout the tournament.

The Karnataka team played three key matches against Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, and North West. In a spectacular display of teamwork and resilience, Karnataka won all three matches and successfully advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-final match against North India, the Karnataka team again emerged victorious, securing a place in the final.

The final showdown took place between Karnataka and Maharashtra. In an intense match, Karnataka emerged as the CISCE U-17 2024 champions, defeating Maharashtra in a thrilling contest. Contributing to this success were two exceptional players from Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, Arav Prasad and Nihal Kapoor. Both boys have been selected for the prestigious School Games Federation of India (SGFI):

Arav Prasad made a significant impact during the final, taking 3 crucial wickets that turned the tide in Karnataka’s favour, demonstrating his exceptional bowling skills under pressure.

A special mention goes to BCBS coach Moin Ahmad, whose expert coaching and guidance played a pivotal role in Karnataka’s success throughout the tournament. His commitment to honing the skills of these young athletes is commendable, and his leadership was integral in securing this well-deserved victory.
