The Inter-House Hindi Elocution competition for the Junior and Middle School sections was held on the 22nd of October, 2024. Students from grades I to VIII participated, delivering their meticulously prepared poems with clarity, confidence, and poise on stage.
The judges, Dr. Varsha Sharadha and Dr. Rekha Sinha, faced a tough challenge in evaluating the performances, as the students’ eloquent renditions were truly impressive. The poems recited spanned diverse genres, including nature and patriotism, by renowned poets such as Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Zakir Ali Rajneesh, and Sohanlal Dwivedi.
In the results, Thomas House and Pettigrew House shared the top honours, followed by Pakenham Walsh House in second place, Elphick House in third, and Pope House in fourth.
A special note of appreciation goes to the Hindi faculty for their dedicated efforts in guiding the students and ensuring the success of the event. Their support and encouragement played a key role in nurturing the participants’ talents and confidence.
