"You can't put a limit on anything. The more you dream, the farther you get." These words remind us that swimming is not just about reaching the finish line; it’s about pushing boundaries, dreaming big, and striving for greatness.
One of the highlights of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School is the Annual Aquatic Meet, which took place over three exciting days on the 13th, 14th, and 16th of August 2024. This event tested the tireless hours of practice our students have put in as they competed for gold, silver, and bronze in a series of solo and team relay events.
The meet commenced with a Welcome Drill, where our young challengers performed in the sparkling blue pool with synchronized precision.
We were honoured to have Mr. Hemanth Sharan J, ACP of the CEN Central Division Bangalore, as our chief guest, and Miss Dhinidhi Desinghu, Olympian from Paris 2024, as our guest of honour. They encouraged the students to push their limits, enjoy their time in the pool, and embrace both victories and setbacks. The events began with inter-school relays for the senior and junior categories, followed by inter-house competitions that showcased remarkable sportsmanship and team spirit.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony recognized and applauded the winners, while also motivating others to strive for greater success in the years to come. Pope House emerged as the overall swimming champions for the year 2024-25, standing tall in victory.
With every splash and turn, our students demonstrated their strength and dedication. There are no shortcuts when it comes to putting your best stroke forward!
