‘Your Dreams are Worth More than Drugs’

In a collaborative effort to raise awareness about the perils of drug abuse, Bishop Cottons partnered with the vigilant Bengaluru City Police to host a thought-provoking seminar for the Senior and ISC students on June 26, 2023. This timely event marked the commencement of World Drug Awareness Day.

The seminar commenced with an address by Mr. Athique, ASI Cubbon Park Police Station, drug abuse prevention department. His words painted a vivid picture of the deceptive tactics employed by drug peddlers to deceive innocent students, and he shed light on the alarming rise in student drug addiction. Mrs. Neelika Joel, our Biology teacher, explained the intricate mechanisms through which addiction takes root, unravelling the complicated interplay of biological and psychological factors.

Each student pledged to remain responsible law-abiding citizens, vowing to shun drug abuse and uphold the values of integrity and healthy living. The seminar served as a beacon of enlightenment, empowering students with the knowledge and resolve to navigate the challenges of today's world while remaining safe.
