Bishop Cotton Boys’ School celebrated Teachers' Day on 5th September, where teachers empowered young minds to create a greener tomorrow through various activities.

Junior School students from Grades I to III enthusiastically participated in a poster-making competition, showcasing vibrant illustrations of a clean and beautiful campus. Each poster carried the important message: "Say No to Litter on Campus." Class teachers judged the posters based on creativity, message clarity, and visual appeal. The top three entries from each section were selected for display in the upcoming exhibition.

Students from Grades IV and V were assigned with creating useful products from waste materials, demonstrating their creativity and resourcefulness. This activity promoted innovative thinking, encouraging students to develop practical solutions for reusing common household waste. Among the impressive creations were pen holders, artistic designs using nut shells, and model dustbins. The class teachers judged the entries using clear and specific criteria to ensure an unbiased evaluation.

Middle School students built on the theme with a "Best Out of Waste" competition, where they worked on DIY projects to reduce waste and promote sustainability in creative and innovative ways. The judging panel, consisting of Mrs. Elizabeth Angiras, Mrs. Jeevalatha, Mrs. Bandana Singh, Mrs. Ranjana Andrews, Mrs. Sabika Sayeda, and Mrs. Reena Sohan, selected the top three exhibits from each section for the exhibition.

Students from Grades IX to XII enjoyed an exciting football match between the faculty and the School Prefect body. In a thrilling encounter, the faculty team emerged victorious, though the students put up a valiant effort. The sportsmanship and camaraderie displayed by both teams was exemplary.

The day also featured a variety of entertainment by the students, adding a joyful element to the celebration. Teachers who had completed 25 years of service were felicitated by the Old Cottonians Association with a silver plaque, in recognition of their dedication. The teachers expressed their gratitude to the students for their thoughtfulness, and each teacher was presented with a rose to mark the occasion.
