On the 11th of February 2025, 28 Airwing NCC Cadets of Standard VIII from Bishop Cotton Boys’ School had the incredible opportunity to witness the prestigious Aero India 2025 Air Show at Air Force Station, Yelahanka. The event was a remarkable experience for our young Cottonians, inspiring many to consider a future in the Indian Air Force.
The aerial display commenced at 12:00 noon, featuring an impressive lineup of aircraft, including:
- Hawk – Trainer aircraft
- HTT-40 (Hindustan Turbo Trainer) – Trainer aircraft
- LUH (Light Utility Helicopter)
- LCA Tejas MK 1 – Fighter jet
- Su-30 MK 1 (Russian Sukhoi 30) – Fighter jet
- IJT – Trainer aircraft
- Hansa (Virus) – Trainer aircraft
- KC-135 (US Air Force) – Aerial refuelling tanker aircraft
- F-35 (US Air Force) – Fighter jet
- Su-57 (Russian Sukhoi 57) – Fighter jet
The highlight of the show was the much-anticipated performance by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force, featuring a breathtaking 35-minute display with nine Hawk aircraft. Their synchronized aerial manoeuvres and precision flying left the audience in awe.
This experience provided our cadets with a deeper understanding of aviation technology, air defence capabilities, and the discipline required in the Air Force.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Principal for giving us this opportunity to witness such an exhilarating event and for encouraging our students to explore careers in the defence forces.
