A Celebration of Love, Creativity and Togetherness
The first edition of “Mom and Me” was held on 7th August 2026 at the Bishop George Edward Lynch Cotton Auditorium, bringing together 25 mother-and-son teams for a joyful celebration of creativity and togetherness.
The theme, “Best Out of the Waste,” encouraged our young learners to transform reusable and discarded materials into creative outfits, showcasing their imagination, confidence and originality.
The programme commenced with a prayer led by Rev. Rachel Sudarshan, followed by Praise and Worship and the Welcome Address. A special ramp walk by the teachers added fun, energy and excitement to the celebrations.
The highlight of the event was the “Best Out of the Waste” Ramp Walk, where mothers and sons confidently presented their innovative creations. The enthusiasm, creativity and wonderful coordination displayed by the participants made the event both entertaining and inspiring.

- Second Place: Aaryan Baid – 1 H
- Third Place: M. Raph Maceo – 1 B
- Third Place: Md. Simnaan Ahmeduddin Junaidi – 1 H
The event was graciously judged by Mrs. Rachel Natalia Brown, Mrs. Agnes Caroline and Mr. Diyanshu Mehra, whose valuable time and thoughtful evaluation are sincerely appreciated.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to Dr. Alistair R. A. Freese, Principal, for his constant encouragement, guidance and support, and to the Vice Principal for his unwavering presence and encouragement throughout the planning and execution of the programme.
Special appreciation is also extended to the coordinators, Mrs. Lorraine Chan and Mrs. Joyce Hebick, and to all the teachers of Junior I for their dedicated efforts, meticulous planning and enthusiastic support in making the event a memorable success.
The event concluded on a joyful note, creating treasured memories and marking a wonderful beginning to what promises to become a cherished tradition at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School.
