The Junior School Physical Education Department organised an Inter-Class Cricket Tournament for Standard III students from 27th February to 3rd March 2026. The event proved to be an exciting and memorable experience for both students and teachers alike.
The tournament commenced with an inaugural ceremony attended by the Principal, Vice Principal, and the Head of the Sports Department. Class teachers enthusiastically presented their teams with creative and distinctive names:
- 3A – Super Strikers
- 3B – Cricket Crackers
- 3C – Royal Challengers
- 3D – Super Heroes
- 3E – Cricket Crusaders
- 3F – Star Strikers
- 3G – Little Masters
- 3H – Tiny Titans
- 3I – Batting Buddies
Following a series of engaging and competitive matches, four sections progressed to the semi-finals. Ultimately, Super Heroes and Cricket Crackers emerged as the finalists, setting the stage for a thrilling finale. The spirited cheerleaders from Standard II added to the excitement, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of an IPL match.
The final match, held on 13th March 2026, was played with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The cheerleaders further enhanced the vibrant atmosphere with their energetic support. After a closely contested encounter, Super Heroes from Class 3D clinched a nail-biting victory, showcasing exceptional teamwork and determination.
The tournament was efficiently coordinated by Mrs Lorraine Chan and Mrs Joyce Hebick. The Physical Education teachers, Mr Unni Krishnan and Mr Praveen, played a pivotal role in organising and conducting the matches smoothly.
The Principal presented trophies and medals to the winners and runners-up during the End-of-Term Assembly, recognising their commendable achievements. Class teachers were also felicitated with medals, further encouraging their active participation and enthusiasm.
