On 28th August 2025, the Cotton’s basketball team participated in AIKYAM 2025, hosted by Neev Academy. The tournament brought together some of the top school teams from across Bangalore, promising exciting and competitive matchups.
Cotton’s began their campaign against The International School Bangalore (TISB). Despite a spirited performance, they narrowly lost the opener by just a single point. Refusing to be disheartened, the team regrouped and displayed remarkable resilience, advancing to the semi-finals. There, Cotton’s dominated the hosts, Neev Academy, with sharp teamwork and solid defense, securing a 12-point victory to book their place in the finals.
The championship clash was a rematch against TISB. Determined to avenge their earlier defeat, Cotton’s played with grit, focus, and discipline on both ends of the court. Their efforts paid off as they clinched an impressive 8-point win to lift the trophy. Aadweek Casaba of Class X H was adjudged Most Valuable Player of the tournament for his outstanding all-round performance.
This triumph was especially significant as it marked Cotton’s third consecutive AIKYAM championship, a testament to the team’s consistency, hard work, and winning spirit.
The team was ably guided and accompanied by Coach Mr. James Manuel.
