On 28th November 2025, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School hosted the Inter-school Music Fest NXS, featuring seven participating schools and four competitive events: Battle of the Bands, Western Vocal Solo, Western Instrumental Solo, and the new Indo-Western Fusion Battle of Bands.
Cottonians delivered outstanding performances, securing First Place in all four events. Notable winning entries included the Western Vocal Solo by Dhruv Kulkarni with Namedonhi, the Western Instrumental Solo by Akhilesh S, a dynamic rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” in the Battle of the Bands, and an Indo-Western fusion of “Urvasi Urvasi” and “Masakali” in the Fusion category.
The fest was judged by Mr. Ramesh J, Mr. Herbert Paul, and Mr. Ignatius Daniel, followed by a special collaborative performance with chief guest Mr. Jagadeesh M, and a concluding drum solo by Mr. Ramesh J.
Bishop Cotton Boys’ School claimed the Overall First Prize with a cash award of ₹15,000, while Bethany High, Sarjapur secured the Runners-Up position with ₹10,000. Gopalan International School also delivered a notable performance of “Vande Mataram”.
