Amid the hallowed, ivy-clad walls of St. Peter’s Chapel, the Class of 2026 gathered for their final Thanksgiving Service—a dignified blend of solemn reflection and celebration, marking their transition from pupils to alumni.

The afternoon commenced with a beautiful procession, as the graduating cohort was ceremoniously seated within the century-old chapel. The sacred space was suffused with the fragrance of white flowers and the gentle glow of beeswax candles adorning the altar. This time-honoured service, a cornerstone of the institution’s liturgical heritage, seamlessly wove together Anglican choral music with contemporary reflective readings, evoking reverence and introspection.

The sermon was delivered by the Rev. J. Christopher Samuel, Secretary, CSI–KCD, who offered an inspiring address that harmoniously blended academic rigour with moral and spiritual fortitude. Drawing upon the Divine promise to Joshua—“You shall not walk alone”—and the enduring wisdom of Shakespeare, the Reverend reminded the graduates that they depart not merely from an institution, but as custodians of a legacy that calls for excellence, integrity, and service to the wider world.

Highlights of the service included a moving musical offering by the school choir, along with prayers and litanies invoking God’s blessings upon the graduating students. Faculty members and parents joined in the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, alongside the Principal, Mr. Alistair R. A. Freese, the Vice Principal, Mr. Dhiviyanathan J., and the celebrants of the occasion—symbolising the illumination of knowledge and the guiding presence of Divine Providence.

A newly instituted invocation, seeking the Almighty’s continued guidance and blessing upon the Class of 2026, added solemnity to the ceremony and reinforced the bonds of faith, camaraderie, and spiritual fellowship that the students will carry into the years ahead.

In recognition of their dedication and exemplary service, the Principal, presented mementos to the School Captain and Office Bearers, commemorating their leadership and the successful completion of their school education.

The institution records its sincere gratitude to the celebrants—Rev. J. Christopher Samuel, Diocesan Secretary, CSI–KCD; Rev. D. Theodore William, Chaplain and Assistant Secretary, CSI–KCD; and Rev. Immanuel Nehemiah, Presbyter-in-Charge, CSI Christ the Saviour Church—for invoking the Almighty’s blessings upon the graduating students during this solemn service.
