Bishop Cotton Boys’ School hosted the 17th edition of Synchronize, a spectacular fusion of science and technology, on the 22nd and 23rd of August. This year, the fest witnessed the participation of over 1000 students from multiple institutions, centered around the theme “Renaissance of Science and Technology”, and staying true to its motto “Powered by Science, Driven by IT.”

The opening ceremony began with a prayer by Rev. Christy Gnandasan and was graced by the chief guest Mr. Ramanan Laxminarayan, Founder and President of the One Health Trust and Senior Research Scholar at Princeton University. In his keynote address “Solving Humanity’s Grand Challenges”, he spoke about energy, resource distribution, robotics, gene editing, and technological advancements in the medical field, engaging the audience with thought-provoking insights and visuals.

A vibrant dance performance by the event heads, followed by a powerful rock show by the ISC band, set the stage for the much-awaited trailer of Synchronize 2025, building anticipation for the events ahead.

This edition featured over 19 creatively designed events that encouraged scientific curiosity, teamwork, and problem-solving. Signature events such as Quad Damage, Odyssey, and Bloodwork drew participation from more than 40 teams. Mrs. Asha Balaji, who initiated the fest 18 years ago, was felicitated by the Principal for her vision and contribution.

After two days of innovation and competition, St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School emerged as the Overall Winner of Synchronize 2025. Awards for individual events were presented by the teachers-in-charge, while the Overall Trophy was awarded by the Principal of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School.

The success of the fest was made possible by the Science Faculty and Organizing Committee under the guidance of Mrs. Indu Shinto, Mrs. Kavita J. M., and Mrs. Mary Mandi, supported by the Science Secretary Harsh Mageshkumar and IT Captain Arjun Gujjari, whose dedication ensured a seamless experience for all.
