Swachhata Pakhwada Cleanliness Drive – 14th September 2024
Bishop Cotton Boys’ School has always strived to instill the right values in its students, fostering their overall development through education and meaningful activities. As part of our continued efforts, the school observed Swachhata Pakhwada, a national cleanliness campaign, engaging both students and ancillary staff to actively participate in keeping the campus clean and organized.
On Saturday, 14th September 2024, the students of Uniformed Services (NSS, Green Brigade, and SAFE), along with the maintenance staff of the school, took part in a cleanliness drive targeting key areas within the school premises that required attention.
Participation and Activities:
- Students’ Involvement: Around 45 students, equipped with masks and gloves, took on the responsibility of cleaning the pavilion and its surroundings. They focused on sweeping the pavilion seating area to enhance its appearance and removed unwanted weeds from the surrounding areas, giving the entire zone a refreshed look.
- Maintenance Staff’s Contribution: A team of 20 maintenance staff members undertook the task of cleaning the area behind the pavilion, where the school stores damaged or repairable goods. This task involved reorganizing the space, discarding unusable items, and thoroughly sweeping the area, leaving it much more organized and neat.
Organization and Support:
The entire cleanliness drive was carefully planned and executed by the Swachhata Pakhwada Core Team, led by:
- Mrs. Neelika Joel
- Mrs. Elizabeth Angiras
