Our school athletics team delivered an outstanding performance at the Bangalore School Olympics Athletics Championship, organized by Youngsters Sports Promoters, held on 11 and 12 January 2026 at Jayanagar Stadium, Bangalore. Competing across Senior, ISC, Middle, and Junior School categories, our athletes brought laurels to the institution by securing multiple gold and bronze medals, particularly excelling in relay events and individual track and field disciplines.
In the Senior School category, the 4×100 m relay team comprising Dheeraj Lionel D (9A), Akarsh Samuel Prashanth (9C), Daniel A Joel (9A), and Sanjay S (9D) clinched the gold medal. Dheeraj Lionel D further distinguished himself by winning bronze medals in Shot Put and 100 m.
The ISC team also performed commendably, with Prajwal L (11B) winning bronze medals in Long Jump and 4×100 m relay, supported by Maneeth R D (11B), Rohankrishna Mamadapalli (11A), and Darek Shawn (11C), who contributed to the relay bronze.
In the Middle School category, Jaden Jeremiah (6G), Neevan Gladwin F (6E), and Hiyan M Jain (6A) secured the gold medal in the 4×100 m relay, showcasing strong teamwork and speed.
The Junior School athletes delivered an exceptional medal haul across various events. Notable performances included Navneeth A Y (5H) with gold in 4×60 m relay and bronze in 200 m, Mohammed Zain K (3B) with gold in 60 m hurdles and 4×60 m relay, and Keith D’Souza (2F) and Ivan Joshua (2C), both winning gold in 4×50 m relay and 50 m. Several other junior athletes contributed to gold and bronze medal finishes in relay and individual events, underlining the depth of talent at the grassroots level.
The school congratulates all the athletes for their dedication and exemplary performance, and places on record its sincere appreciation for the efforts of the coaches, Mr. Devaraj D and Mr. Shivakumar K, whose guidance and commitment were instrumental in this remarkable success.
