A Sojourn of Empathy – The Cottonians’ Outreach to the Ashreya Centre for Learning

The students of Class XII B visited the Ashreya Centre for Learning as part of their Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) programme. The institution, dedicated to the education and empowerment of specially abled children, offered the boys an inspiring experience in inclusivity and compassion.
Mrs. Manju Eapen, Director of the Centre, addressed the students on the challenges faced by differently abled learners and highlighted the importance of empathy, patience, and specialized teaching. The students interacted with the staff and children, observing innovative teaching and therapeutic practices that foster holistic development.
Accompanied by their class teacher, Mrs. Asha Balaji & Mrs. Madhavi Sreenivas, the students returned enriched with a deeper understanding of social responsibility and the true essence of education—service to humanity.
