The Senior School Prize Day for 2024 was held on July 6th, 2024, showcasing the diverse talents of our students. This event celebrated academic achievements and was interspersed with captivating dance and music performances.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Robert Khin, Principal of the Bethany Institutions and an esteemed alumnus of our school, along with the Guest of Honour, Rt. Rev. Martin C. Borgai, Chairman of the Board of Management, CSI, Karnataka Central Diocese, inspired the students, parents, and teachers with their encouraging words. They emphasized the importance of perseverance, hard work, and the values that Bishop Cotton Boys School instills in its students.
The Annual Report for the academic year 2023-2024 highlighted the academic toppers of both the ICSE and ISC examinations, as well as outstanding achievers in sports at the state and national levels.
During the prize distribution ceremony, awards were given for academic excellence, character, and extracurricular achievements of ISC, Senior, and Middle School students. This tradition underscores the school’s commitment to nurturing excellence and holistic development.
Rt. Rev. Martin C. Borgai, along with Principal Mr. Alistair R.A. Freese, also felicitated twenty-two teaching and non-teaching staff members for completing 25 years of dedicated service to the institution.
The audience was spellbound by a series of musical performances that demonstrated the artistic flair of our young Cottonians. The Senior and ISC school bands performed powerful rock anthems like Bon Jovi's "It's My Life" and Gary Moore's "Still Got the Blues." The school choir enthralled the audience with their rendition of Guns N' Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine."
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the School Captain, Nirav Reddy, followed by the closing prayer and benediction pronounced by Rev. Christy Gnanadasan.
