On the 14th of February 2024 Bishop Cotton Boy’s School conducted an Orientation programme for the first time for the parents of Grade VIII and X as these are the two important decision making grades where they determine their stream or selection of electives. Our Principal, Alistair R A Freese took keen interest to organize an orientation programme so that the parents will have a deeper understanding of the subjects and its streams so that the parents would discuss with their wards and and not blindly take any stream or elective by pressure or force. There are multiple professions and not only medicine and Engineering as there are several other openings in various streams here in India as well as abroad to cater to the needs & interest of the students.
The orientation programme commenced with the welcome address by Mr. Divyanathan, ISC Coordinator followed by the Bible Reading by Ms. Mary Avis, Coordinator of Middle School and Prayer by Mrs. Phoebe Jones, HOD of Scripture & Sociology. Thereafter our Principal, Mr. Alistair R A Freese, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School presented a fabulous presentation on ‘Facts Vs Fallacies’ of various streams & subjects, which was an eye opener to all those who witnessed. It was an interactive session and well appreciated by all the parents for organizing one of most meaningful and informative counselling in regards to various streams and electives that they need to decide in the interest of the students. After which the subject experts of respective departments shared the presentation that they offer for Grade VIII & X.

The presentations were informative and useful to the parents in order to take decision with their wards as a family.
The Subjects presentation by our faculty were in detail with their promising future careers and job opportunities for a better and prosperous tomorrow as today’s children are tomorrow’s citizens. Bishop Cotton Boys’ School works an extra mile to facilitate holistic approach in making great leaders year after year with fine character and skill contributing to the nation building as a whole. Finally, the vote of thanks was proposed by our Vice Principal, Mr. Anil Dutt. Orientation was witnessed by hundreds of enthusiastic parents who appreciated the school for organizing a valuable orientation.
