The overnight camp for the cubs of Classes 4 & 5, held at the Dr. Annie Besant Scouts and Guides State Training and Camping Centre, Doddaballapur, Bengaluru Rural, provided a meaningful outdoor learning experience focused on teamwork, discipline, and essential scouting skills.
Day 1
Cubs settled into their tents and took part in skill-based activities, followed by a flag ceremony and campsite inspection emphasising responsibility and cleanliness. A craft session allowed them to express creativity. Due to rain, the campfire was moved indoors, but the cubs adapted with enthusiasm and ended the day with quiet bonding time.
Day 2
The morning began with BP-6 exercises, after which the cubs set out on a nature walk, explored the forest, and climbed the tower for an aerial campus view. They later learned practical knot-tying techniques and demonstrated commendable teamwork throughout. Before dispersal, they cleaned the campsite and packed their gear responsibly.
The camp strengthened the core values of self-reliance, cooperation, and discipline, creating lasting memories for every participant.
