During the mid-term break, the teachers of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School embarked on a rejuvenating trip to Leh-Ladakh — a perfect pause after a busy and fulfilling term.

From the moment we arrived, Ladakh’s breathtaking beauty captivated everyone. The crisp mountain air, desert hues blending into snow-capped peaks, and serene landscapes created the ideal setting for relaxation. Each day brought new experiences: tranquil monasteries resonating with chants, rolling sand dunes under vast skies, and soothing hot springs that felt like nature’s own spa.

A highlight of the trip was Pangong Tso, the mesmerizing lake that seemed to change colors with every passing hour. Standing by its shimmering waters, surrounded by towering mountains, we were humbled by the sheer grandeur of nature — a view that words can scarcely capture.

Beyond the scenery, the trip strengthened bonds among teachers. Conversations flowed over steaming cups of tea, laughter echoed through chilly evenings, and shared moments of joy created memories to cherish. It was heartening to connect beyond classrooms and schedules, simply enjoying the joy of togetherness.

As the trip drew to a close, we returned home with refreshed minds and rejuvenated spirits, ready to embrace the new term with renewed energy. The Leh-Ladakh journey was more than a break — it was a celebration of friendship, the beauty of nature, and the simple joy of pausing to breathe, reflect, and appreciate life’s blessings.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Principal and the Board of Management for giving the staff this wonderful opportunity to unwind, explore, and reconnect. Their support made this memorable journey possible and reflects their care for the well-being and rejuvenation of the teachers.

On Straight On!
