“Young patriots today, proud nation-builders tomorrow.”
The Kindergarten Block came alive in the vibrant colours of the national flag as the young Cottonians celebrated Independence Day with pride and patriotic fervour.
The programme, compered by Ms. Patience Shah, commenced with Bible Reading by Agastya Saraswat of UKG-B, followed by the Opening Prayer led by Kiaan Chidar of UKG-H. The Kindergarten Choir presented “Let’s Celebrate India’s Freedom,” guided by Mr. Faustin D. Rozario and Mr. Sam Ebenezer.
Mrs. Runa Gurung highlighted the significance of Founders’ Day and the contribution of our founder, Rev. Samuel Thomas Pettigrew. The LKG boys portrayed revered freedom fighters, while the UKG children depicted India’s National Symbols under the guidance of Mrs. Hema Singh. The UKG boys enthralled the audience with an energetic performance of “Badhte Chalo,” trained by Ms. Sarah Sarojini and Mrs. Jennifer Paul.
The celebration was graced by Vice Principal Mr. Divyanathan J, who conveyed his greetings, and Principal Dr. Alistair R. A. Freese, who shared inspiring words with the young learners.
The celebration was a meaningful and memorable experience, fostering patriotism, gratitude and pride in our young Cottonians.
