The Parent Orientation Programme for Junior I was held on 8th June 2026 at the Bishop George Edward Lynch Cotton Auditorium.
The auditorium was filled with enthusiastic parents eager to commence their children’s educational journey at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School. The programme was compered by Mrs. Angelene Joshua, followed by a reading from the Holy Bible by Mrs. Caren Sarath Kumar and the invocation prayer led by Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Pushpam.
An engaging audio-visual presentation showcased the wide range of activities undertaken in Junior I, offering parents a glimpse into the vibrant and enriching learning environment that nurtures young learners at Cottons.
The Principal, Dr. Alistair R. A. Freese, warmly welcomed the parents and introduced the Junior I staff. In his address, he outlined the school’s rules, norms, expectations, and guidelines while addressing parental concerns and clarifying various queries. He encouraged parents to spend quality time with their children and establish simple yet effective routines that foster holistic growth and development.
Dr. Freese also conducted an interactive question-and-answer session, thoughtfully responding to numerous questions and providing valuable insights into the school’s ethos and practices.
The School places on record its sincere appreciation to the Coordinators, Mrs. Lorraine Chan and Mrs. Joyce Hebick, for their meticulous planning and organisation, which contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
The orientation concluded on a positive and reassuring note, with parents leaving the auditorium well-informed, confident, and optimistic as they embarked on their children’s educational journey at BCBS.
