The Inter-House ISC Debate was also held on 10th July 2025, addressing a thought-provoking topic: “Gen Z and Gen Alpha are the most depressed, disillusioned, and isolated generation.”
Judges for the event were:
- Mrs. Teresa Rodrigues, a respected educator with over 49 years of experience and a three-time Frank Anthony Debate judge
- Mr. Kedar Balaganur, avid reader, quizzer, and debate enthusiast
- Mrs. Alma Francis, passionate singer, reader, and theatre performer
The proposition spoke of fractured identities and societal disconnection among younger generations, while the opposition argued that increased mental health awareness and openness are signs of strength, not weakness.
Pettigrew House (Arjun Gujjari and Ayush Prem) claimed first place, followed by Elphick House (Pranav Jain and Glenn Harel) and Pope House (Aadish Jain and Dhruv Kulkarni). The Best Speaker awards were presented to Arjun Gujjari (Grade 12) and Dhruv Kulkarni (Grade 11).
The debate was a testament to the power of critical thought and reminded all that questioning the world is not a sign of despair—but of growth.
