The Middle School English Department conducted its Inter-House Debate Competition on 6th August 2026 in the School Auditorium. The topic, “Do Co-educational Schools Produce Better Outcomes Than Single-Sex Schools?”, saw enthusiastic participation from 10 students who presented well-researched arguments for and against the motion.
The participants were judged on content, confidence, clarity of speech, and presentation skills. Elphick House emerged as the winner, followed by Pettigrew House in second place.
The judges appreciated the students for their confidence, logical reasoning, and effective speaking skills. The competition provided a valuable platform for students to develop critical thinking and public-speaking abilities.
Sincere gratitude is extended to the Middle School English Department and the coordinator, Mr Wilson Sampathkumar, for their efforts in organising and conducting the competition successfully.
