ENVISION – Inter-House Science & IT Fest 2026 was held on 23 June 2026 for the students of Grades IX and X at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School. The fest served as a vibrant platform to nurture curiosity, innovation, critical thinking, scientific temperament, and teamwork among the participants.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Jyoti Mehra, Curator, Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Bengaluru. Through a series of engaging demonstrations and thought-provoking interactions, she inspired students to explore the wonders of science and encouraged them to pursue scientific inquiry with enthusiasm and confidence. Mr. Alistair LaPorte graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and also served as the Quiz Master for the Science Quiz.
The inaugural ceremony featured a spirited performance by the Senior School Band, followed by the screening of the ENVISION trailer, which showcased the nine events that formed part of the fest. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
The fest comprised a wide range of intellectually stimulating competitions, including Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Experiments, Science Debate, Science Quiz, Poster Making, Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, and Eco-Innovative Challenges. Students from all five houses participated with great enthusiasm, displaying remarkable creativity, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and scientific aptitude.
The competitions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of external judges from Bishop Cotton Girls’ School, St. John’s High School, and Cathedral High School, whose expertise and constructive feedback enriched the learning experience for all participants.
At the culmination of the fest, Pope House and Elphick House emerged as the Joint Champions, securing 30 points each. Pakenham Walsh House and Thomas House shared the third position with 27 points each, while Pettigrew House secured the fifth position with 25 points.
The school places on record its sincere appreciation to Dr. Alistair R. A. Freese, Principal, and Mr. Dhiviyanathan J., Vice Principal, for their constant encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support in ensuring the successful conduct of the fest.
The success of ENVISION 2026 was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Core Committee comprising Mrs. Catherine Griffith Jacintha, Ms. Abigail Arpana David, Mr. Arokyaraj D., and Mrs. Elizabeth Angiras, along with the Teachers-in-Charge, Event Heads, judges, volunteers, and student participants whose commitment and enthusiasm contributed immensely to the event’s success.
ENVISION 2026 was a celebration of scientific learning, innovation, and collaboration, providing students with an enriching experience that encouraged them to think beyond textbooks and explore the limitless possibilities of science and technology.
