Bishop Cotton Boys’ School conducted an awareness session on 1st December 2025 for students of Grades IX and X in collaboration with the Karnataka State Police. Mrs. Mruthul Thomas introduced the Guest Speaker, Mr. Devendrappa K. S., Inspector of Police, Cubbon Park Police Station.
The session focused on traffic safety, cybercrime, women’s safety, and the dangers of substance abuse. Mr. Devendrappa highlighted the department’s initiative to reach 2 lakh students across 120 schools, along with key safety measures such as the Safe Connect App, SOS Safety Islands, and 60 Safety Shelters for women across the city.
Students were briefed on traffic management supported by 7,500 surveillance cameras, the rising concerns of online fraud, cybercrime, and the risk of drug peddling near schools. Short, impactful videos enriched the presentation.
Daksh Jain, Head of Day Scholars, presented a summary of the session, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Anusha Chaturvedi.
