The 12th edition of Cottons’ Model United Nations (CoMUN) 2026 was held at Bishop Cotton Boys’ School from 30 July to 1 August 2026, bringing together over 700 delegates from schools across Bengaluru. Recognised as one of the city’s premier MUN conferences, this year’s edition featured seven committees—DISEC, UNODC, SPECPOL, UNSC, Continuous Crisis Committee (CCC), International Press Corps – Journalism (IPC-J), and International Press Corps – Photojournalism (IPC-P). Delegates engaged in thought-provoking debates on global issues, including international security, synthetic drug trafficking, territorial disputes, decolonisation, and conflict resolution.

The conference was inaugurated by Mrs. Hema Sanjay, whose extensive experience in international trade, diplomacy, and public policy inspired the participants. The event was ably led by Secretary-General Bhuvin Anil, whose leadership, inspiring inaugural address, and effective coordination contributed significantly to the conference’s success.

Reflecting the theme, “Peace over Power,” the conference emphasised the importance of dialogue, diplomacy, and cooperation in resolving global challenges. Sri Kumaran Children’s Home was awarded the Best Delegation, while St. Joseph’s Boys High School received the Outstanding Delegation award.

The resounding success of CoMUN 2026 was made possible through the visionary leadership of Dr. Alistair R. A. Freese, Principal, the dedicated efforts of the Secretariat, Executive Board, Organising Committee, and the committed guidance of the school’s MUN Coordinators, Mrs. Mercy Stanley and Mrs. Tabassum Ali.
