As part of its continued commitment to the holistic well-being of its staff, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School organised an enlightening awareness session on 29 July 2026 in collaboration with the Department of Posts. The programme was led by Mr. Murugan, Senior Officer, Department of Posts, and his team, who provided valuable insights into a range of government-backed savings, insurance, and social security schemes.
The session highlighted the benefits of postal savings, explaining their features, investment options, eligibility criteria, and attractive returns. Participants also gained a clear understanding of the differences between Fixed Deposits offered by nationalised banks and those provided by the Department of Posts, reinforcing the importance of secure and well-planned financial investments.
The officials further briefed the gathering on the latest Aadhaar services, emphasising the significance of timely biometric updates to ensure uninterrupted access to various government and financial services.
The interactive programme witnessed enthusiastic participation, with staff members engaging in meaningful discussions and seeking guidance on financial planning and Aadhaar-related procedures. A proposal to establish an on-campus Help Desk for Aadhaar services and personalised financial guidance was warmly welcomed by all.
