The Bishop Cotton Boys’ School bakery upheld the long-standing 17th-century European tradition of the Cake Mixing, or “Stirring Ceremony,” preparing an impressive 1200 kgs of Christmas cake mixture for the festive season.
The event was graced by the Principal, Mr. Alistair R. A. Freese; Treasurer, Mr. P. Johnson; Mrs. Vinisha Nero and Rev. Rachel Sudharshan, Members of the Board of Management, with Rev. Rachel offering a prayer. Bakery Incharge Mrs. Mamta, along with a few members of staff, joined in the ceremony.
The gathering marked a joyful commencement to the Christmas celebrations at school.
