On 8th November 2025, a team of thirty students from Classes IX and XI of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School attended the Interactive Science Symposium — a celebration of scientific curiosity, discovery, and collaboration — hosted by St. Francis Xavier School, Koramangala.
The conference featured engaging sessions on topics such as sleep patterns and their neurological impacts, the role of nanoparticles in modern technology, sustainability in chemistry, and the importance of imagination and visualization in physics. Live experiments, including the creation of elephant’s toothpaste, demonstrations of liquid nitrogen superconductivity, chemiluminescence, magic writing, and piezoelectricity, added excitement to the event. Students also enjoyed listening to the animated version of Tom Lehrer’s Periodic Table Song.
Each session, conducted by expert scientists, connected textbook concepts with real-world applications. The interactive format encouraged active participation, questions, and discussion, deepening students’ appreciation for scientific exploration.
The students were accompanied by Mrs. Elizabeth Angiras, Mrs. Asha Mohan, and Mrs. Sheeba Nancy. The experience left them inspired, enriched, and proud to represent their school at this celebration of science and learning.
