Bishop Cotton Boys’ School delivered an impressive performance at the CISCE U-14 Chess Tournament, with our young Cottonians displaying remarkable strategic thinking, composure, and competitive spirit.
Leading the contingent was Indrajit Manjumthar of Class 8 I, who emerged as the Champion, securing First Place with an outstanding display of skill and consistency throughout the tournament. Adding to the school’s success, Kiyan Chopra of Class 8 I achieved a commendable Fifth Place, contributing significantly to the team’s overall performance.
The collective efforts of the players earned Bishop Cotton Boys’ School the Runners-Up Trophy, with the U-14 Team securing Second Place in the tournament.
In recognition of their exceptional performances, Indrajit Manjumthar and Kiyan Chopra have both been selected to represent the team at the CISCE Regional Chess Championship. The Cottonian family congratulates them on this well-deserved achievement and wishes them every success in the forthcoming regional competition.
The school places on record its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Viniba Mathew for her dedicated guidance, encouragement, and meticulous coaching, which played a vital role in the team’s outstanding performance.
