On the 8th of July 2024, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School had the distinct honour of welcoming representatives from St. Edmund’s College, the oldest Catholic independent school in England. Established in 1568 in Douai, France, St. Edmund’s College relocated to England in 1762. The institution offers education from Primary to A levels, which corresponds to the 12th grade in the Indian system.
The visit underscored the strong association between St. Edmund’s College and Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, a relationship that has been nurtured since 2007. This visit provided an excellent opportunity for both schools to engage in meaningful dialogue, share educational practices, and celebrate their longstanding partnership.
The delegation from St. Edmund’s College was warmly received, and the visit included a tour of our campus, interactive sessions with students and staff, and discussions on collaborative initiatives. The event was a testament to the shared commitment of both institutions to fostering academic excellence and holistic development.
