On November 22nd, students of Classes 10B and 10C, accompanied by Mrs. Rita S. K. and Mrs. Mruthul Thomas, visited the Friend In Need Society’s Home in Shivajinagar as part of the SUPW programme. Established in 1830, this old age home supports elders from challenging family backgrounds.
The programme began with a Bible reading and prayer, followed by hymns, songs, dances, puppet shows, and games. The elders participated joyfully, and students donated groceries, provisions, and blankets.
Special appreciation is extended to Mr. George D’Roza and Miss Sharmila Miranda for coordinating the visit, and to the staff of the Home for their warm hospitality.
The visit proved meaningful, fostering empathy and social responsibility as students gained insight into the emotional needs of the elderly.
Heartfelt thanks to the school leadership for facilitating this enriching experience, which has left a lasting impact on the students.
