Bishop Cotton Boys’ School commenced its Interhouse Dramatics Competition on 10 September 2026, continuing an age-old Cottonian tradition and providing a vibrant platform for creative expression.
This year’s theme, “Once Upon a Time…”, offered each of the five Houses an opportunity to reinterpret classical stories through fresh and imaginative perspectives, resulting in innovative storytelling, unexpected twists and engaging performances.
Following a closely contested competition, Pope House emerged as the Overall Winners. Nirav Hariharan of Elphick House was awarded the prestigious Shivaji Ganesan Best Actor Award 2026 for his outstanding individual performance.

The success of the event reflected the dedication and hard work of the participating Houses, along with the tireless efforts of the House Masters, Mistresses and House Captains. Special appreciation is extended to Mrs. Madhuri Nair Sanjeev, Dramatics In-Charge, for her guidance and encouragement throughout the programme.
More than a competition, Interhouse Dramatics celebrates the enduring value of theatre and the arts, giving young Cottonians a platform to create, perform and express themselves, while adding another memorable chapter to a proud and continuing legacy.
