The much-anticipated Inter-School Music Competition, NXS 2024, was held on the 20th of November 2024, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of six talented bands from across schools.
The event was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Thomas Chandy, founder of Hosmat Hospitals, whose presence added to the occasion’s grandeur. The competition’s judging panel comprised eminent personalities from the music industry: Mr. Joe Louis, a renowned jazz and rock and roll performer; Mr. Sobek Chakraborty, a member of the celebrated MTV rock band Oxygen on to the Rocks; and Mr. Allan Rohith, Head of the Department at Raj Music School.
NXS 2024 was a vibrant showcase of musical talent, collaboration, and competition. Participants demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity across various categories, including Battle of Bands, Western Vocal Solo, and Western Instrumental Solo. The event not only fostered camaraderie among the schools but also celebrated the universal language of music in a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.
Our school’s budding musicians emerged as champions, clinching the first place in all three categories. Cotton Girls’ School secured second place, and Gopalan International School achieved third place, showcasing stellar performances across the board.
This resounding success would not have been possible without the dedication and efforts of Mr. Faustin, Head of the Music Department, and his team of talented music teachers, who worked tirelessly to mentor and guide our students.
NXS 2024 will be remembered as a landmark event, one that truly celebrated the spirit of music and left an indelible mark on everyone present.
