Bishop Cotton Boys’ School had the privilege of hosting an enriching career guidance session by Mahindra University, Hyderabad, aimed at providing students with valuable insights into higher education opportunities in the rapidly evolving fields of Engineering and Technology.
The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by a brief introduction by the Head of Day Scholars. The session was led by Prof. Aditya Abburi, who delivered an engaging and thought-provoking presentation on pursuing higher education in Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Sensor Technologies.
Prof. Abburi elaborated on the theme “AI + IoT = An Intelligent World,” highlighting the transformative impact of these technologies across sectors such as smart homes, healthcare, and transportation. He also discussed the importance of mini sensors, low-power connectivity, mobile devices, and cloud computing in driving the growth of IoT. Reflecting on the opportunities and challenges presented by Artificial Intelligence, he encouraged students to think critically about the future of AI and IoT and their role in shaping the world by 2030.
The session proved to be highly informative, inspiring, and career-oriented, equipping students with a deeper understanding of emerging technologies and future academic pathways. It concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the School IT Captain.
