Life Skills classes were conducted for the students of Standard I (Sections A–I) in three batches by Mrs. Jerome and Mrs. Maithri. The sessions focused on creating awareness among the young learners about essential values and habits that contribute to their personal, social, and overall development.
The key topics covered during the sessions were Discipline, Obedience, and Safety. Under Discipline, students were encouraged to understand the importance of following rules and maintaining order in the classroom. The topic of Obedience focused on listening to and following the instructions of teachers and parents. The students were also sensitised to the importance of Safety, with discussions on personal safety, road safety, and safety within the school premises.
The sessions were conducted in an interactive manner, with the children participating actively in discussions and activities. They identified the rules expected of them both in the classroom and outside, and shared relevant examples from their daily lives.
The Life Skills sessions provided an engaging and meaningful learning experience, helping students develop an understanding of essential values, responsible behaviour, and good habits that will support their growth and development.
