The Junior School Annual Prize Day was held on 30th July 2025 with great pride and festivity, celebrating the achievements, talents, and creative spirit of students from Classes 1 to 5.

The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Sangeetha Macaden, whose inspiring address reminded students that success is achieved when we give our best in everything we do. Her words resonated deeply with the audience and set the perfect tone for the day’s celebrations.

The event began with the prize distribution ceremony, where students were recognized for their outstanding performance in academics, co-curricular activities, and all-round development.

This was followed by a vibrant cultural programme titled ‘The Golden Flame’, which brought to life the selfless commitment and unwavering dedication of a teacher towards her students. The theme was portrayed through powerful narration, expressive performances, and emotional depth, leaving a meaningful impact on the audience.

A series of performances highlighted the diverse talents of our young learners:

  • The Junior School Choir, trained by Ms. Gabriella, sang a selection of melodious and thoughtful pieces, including ‘Man in the Mirror’ by Michael Jackson, which encouraged introspection and positive change. Their voices blended beautifully, creating a serene and moving atmosphere.
  • The audience was then treated to a spirited performance by the Junior School Band trained by Mr. Samson. They played ‘The Nights’ by Avicii, a song that celebrates living boldly and creating memories. A standout moment was the drum solo by Jeric Zayden of Standard 4, who impressed everyone with his confidence, rhythm, and musical flair.
  • The cultural programme also featured foot-tapping dance performances by students that were bursting with energy and joy, making the audience groove along and applaud enthusiastically.
  • Among the solo performances were two delightful piano solos: Daniel of Standard 3 played with poise and clarity, showcasing great promise, while Ezekiel of Standard 4 performed two contrasting pieces — the adventurous Theme from Pirates of the Caribbean and the gentle, expressive Ballade Pour Adeline. His skill and musical sensitivity were commendable.

In recognition of excellence among our staff, Mr. Shridhara was acknowledged for his outstanding academic mentoring, with his ICSE Fine Art students achieving an impressive average of over 90% in the Board Examinations.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ananth, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Principal, staff, parents, and students for their contributions towards making the day a memorable success.

The Junior School Annual Prize Day was a true celebration of hard work, creativity, and the spirit of learning — a day that left lasting memories for all.
