The Cotton Model United Nations 2025 (CoMUN 2025) was successfully conducted from 31st July to 2nd August 2025 on the campus of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School.

The Opening Ceremony on 31st July was a memorable occasion, graced by Mrs. Shabeena Sultana, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Tunisia, who served as the Chief Guest. Her thought-provoking address set an inspiring tone for the conference, underscoring the importance of diplomacy and global engagement in the current world order. The ceremony also featured an opening prayer by Rev. Y. Justin, invoking divine guidance and blessings upon the proceedings of the conference.

This year’s edition marked the largest and most ambitious iteration in the histo

ry of the conference, featuring:

  • Over 900 delegates
  • 7 committees
  • Participation from 23 schools

Delegates engaged actively with a wide range of agendas spanning both domestic and international issues. Each committee functioned seamlessly, producing commendable academic debate and fostering enthusiastic participation. The conference received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students, faculty advisors, and observers, who appreciated the meticulous organisation, scale, and overall experience.

A significant milestone this year was the participation of St. James’ School, Kolkata, whose involvement marked CoMUN’s expansion to a truly national level. Their presence added an inter-state dimension to the conference and further elevated the stature of CoMUN 2025.

The Secretariat was led by Mr. Fudhail Jhethru Amaan, who served as the Secretary-General. The event was organised under the guidance of the MUN Co-ordinator, with invaluable support from school faculty, operational staff, and the dedicated student Organising Committee headed by Daksh Jain.

A special word of gratitude is due to Mrs. Mercy Stanley, Mrs. Tabassum, and their team for their tireless efforts behind the scenes, ensuring that every detail—from logistics to delegate hospitality—was flawlessly executed.

The conference concluded with the declaration of delegation awards:

  • Best Delegation: Sri Kumaran Children’s Home
  • Outstanding Delegation: St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School

CoMUN 2025 stood as a testament to Bishop Cotton Boys’ School’s continued leadership in hosting impactful academic events that promote diplomacy, student leadership, and inter-school collaboration at scale.

On straight, On!
