The Bishop Cotton Boys' School football team participated in the CISCE National Football Championship held in Kottayam, Kerala, showcasing remarkable skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
In their first and second match, the team faced a tough challenge against the teams of Maharashtra & Goa. Despite a valiant effort, they narrowly lost 2-1 in both matches. The team displayed resilience in their second and third matches, battling to a well-deserved 2-2 draw against West Bengal & North East.
Several players stood out for their performances, earning selections for the prestigious School Games Federation of India (SGFI):
- Galvin Rufus– Selected for the SGFI
- Thejas N– Selected for the SGFI
- Philbert Christian – Selected as a standby for the SGFI
Their exceptional efforts have earned them the honor of representing Bishop Cotton Boys' School at the SGFI Football Championship, which will be held in Manipur in December.
A special mention goes to Coach Noah Rosario, whose dedication and guidance have been instrumental in the team’s preparation and performance throughout the championship.
