The Cake Mixing Ceremony, also known as the “Stirring Ceremony,” is a tradition that dates back to 17th-century Europe. This event originally marked the harvest season, when an abundance of fruits and nuts were gathered to prepare the traditional plum cake.
At the Bishop Cotton Boys’ School bakery, an impressive 1200 kgs of Christmas cake mixture was prepared, continuing this cherished tradition with great enthusiasm. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Principal, Mr. Alistair R. A. Freese; Treasurer, Mr. T. Jaychandran; and Bakery In charges, Mrs. Mamta and Mr. Anthony, who joined the bakers in this festive celebration.
