The team advanced to the quarter-finals in a turncoat format, debating on “Examinations do not inculcate discipline but take away the joy of learning” and “Traditions should be a guiding compass, not a chain.” Pranav Jain was named Best Speaker, and Ayush Prem received the Runner-up Speaker award.
In the semi-finals, the motion “Greenwashing is a sophisticated deception rather than genuine progress towards climate change” saw the Cottonians finish as Second Runner-up, with Pranav Jain earning the Most Promising Speaker award.
The quiz team, comprising Sreeharsha Chakali and Harsh Mangeshkumar, participated in a challenging 50-question general awareness quiz covering literature, art, culture, and science. They displayed remarkable composure and knowledge throughout the contest.
