The Under-13 Boys’ Basketball Team of Bishop Cotton Boys’ School put up an impressive performance at the Inter-School Basketball Tournament 2026, organised by Lakshyan Academy on 28 August 2026.
The team displayed excellent skill, teamwork, discipline and determination throughout the tournament, progressing to the final, where they faced Delhi Public School (DPS) East. After a competitive final, the Cottonians finished as Runners-up, earning a well-deserved place on the podium.
A special mention goes to Nikhil (Class 8E), who was adjudged the Best Defender of the tournament in recognition of his outstanding defensive performance.
The team was ably coached by Mr. Nagendra, with Mr. Jacob Robertson Thilak serving as the Teacher-in-Charge.
The tournament was graced by distinguished sporting personalities, including Mr. Dhanaraj Pilli, former Captain of the Indian Hockey Team and Olympian, and Ms. Sara, Coach of the Indian Women’s Basketball Team.
The achievement is a testament to the dedication of the players and the guidance and commitment of the coaching and support staff. Congratulations to our young Cottonians on their commendable Runners-up finish!
